Jack Donegal has his faithful beagle, George. Grace Darby, the English professor/sleuth has her Corgi buddy, Shelley, (named after Percy Bysshe Shelley, the poet.) Ellen Danforth, friend and neighbor to Jack and Andy and occasional dog sitter for George, has her feline companion, an orange tabby cat named Van Gogh. As I continue to write and create, the fictional animals accumulate and not always in canine or feline form. Here’s celebrating animal friends.
